1. Giolitti : This much hyped and very famous gelateria from Audrey Hepburn's and Gregory Peck's Roman Holiday is worth the fame and name. Not only are the Gelatos great the interior is phenomenal with a 50's classy feel. Word of caution, you'll have to pay to sit inside--but a gelato is best eaten when outside to people watch! This is also the oldest ice cream parlour in Rome--definitely a good visit! 2. Gelato di San Crispino: This was lauded as the best-Gelato-you-will-ever-have-type-place and guess what--it was the best gelato we ever had! So much so we went back twice! Its a few streets down from the Trevi fountain and the line up goes outside the narrow shop and out but its stracciatella is worth the wait! Caution, it is pricey! 3. Gelateria Valentino: This gelateria gave a nice, small, homely feeling but at the same time is located off the Trevi Fountain so easy to access. The atmosphere is friendly and the gelato is also fresh!

I went to Rome on my honeymoon and I couldn't get enough gelato! I am now much more of a gelato fan than regular ice cream - all because of that trip! I hope to go again and check out the places you recommended!
