the sweetest thank you, cupcakes

A while back it was my dad's 60th birthday.  We decided to throw him a small surprise birthday party with close family and friends at a small local Indian restaurant. The restaurant had a private party room with a projector, it was just the right size! My sisters and I made a quick trip to the local Michaels (Arts + crafts store) and bought some simple decorations. We all thought it would be nice to send home the guests with a party favours, and as soon as we got to Michaels we saw these cute black and white boxes! Right away we thought of sending the guests home with some home made cupcakes placed in these cute boxes as party favours.  We bought some black and white ribbon, matching cupcake wraps and tags for personalizing each box.  My youngest sister went ahead and baked the cupcakes and we all partook in decorating them. It was a lovely way of saying thank to our guests and we heard back from many of them saying how much they enjoyed the cupcakes!
