Girl's night out outfit

Top: Topshop
Skirt: Joe Fresh
Shoes: from India
Scarf: Bronte by Moon
Necklace: From India

Our group here in our program is pretty huge (relative), there are about 12 of us. The girls in the group decided, however, it was time just us girls should do something. So we went out for dinner at our favourite family owned Italian restaurant Gino's and then joined everyone else at the pub. The great thing about the UK are their woolen products and this scarf is absolutely my favourite new purchase!

Back to London I go!

Top: Topshop
Dress: Topshop
Cardigan: H&M // similar here
Shoes: Primark
Necklace: Macy's

I went to London this past week and it reminded me of the year I lived there. It was odd in a sense to feel a strong sense of homecoming there and to know the streets, the people, the rhythm, the nooks of the city without thinking about it for a second. I cant wait for more London trips, even though I do remember I didn't think the city itself was as efficient as it should have been considering it is a "world" capital and so I often times felt frustrated by the administrative process or the transportation. Tip: Always choose to walk in London, it will save you time and money.

A pub night look

Sweater: H&M // similar here // here
Necklace: Forever 21
Dress: Fun2Fun // similar here
shoes: Zara // similar here
Backpack: Target; Mossimo // similar here / here

Even though I dont drink I love the pub culture in the UK. It is a place people go for a few drinks and socialize with their friends. The great thing is that the people in my course go for drinks every week at a different pub in Oxford to celebrate the hand in of our weekly essays. The even better thing is that Oxford has some great historical pubs like the Eagle and Child, where the Inklings: Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, Charles Williams, and Hugo Dyson used to meet to drink and exchange ideas. This outfit transitioned well from lectures and library research work in the day to evening to the pub at night.
