For us Canadians, thanksgiving is this weekend. It's always great to have this long weekend in October. Feels like an official start to fall and the holiday season. A great excuse to get together with family and eat lots of yummy food. Being a child with a South Asian background, thanksgiving dinner wasn't something that always took place in our household. Plus having large family gatherings with an abundance of food was something that ended up happening every other weekend since its a normal weekend activity for South Asians! But as my sisters and I grew older we decided it would be fun to partake in the Canadian thanksgiving tradition. With our family on board, we have had quite a few successful thanksgiving dinners. Since majority of my family is vegetarian, I wanted to share with you some of the key vegetarian dishes that my family likes to make. Thus I did a roundup of the ones we have shared on the blog thus far. Hope you have fun planning your Canadian thanksgiving menu and let us know if you incorporated some of these recipes and how they turned out!
