A day as a tourist in my own city

Coat: Primark
Shirt: Forever 21
Pants: H&M // Similar Here
Shoes: Zara // Similar Here
Purse: H&M

This was an outfit I wore on a day out in Oxford as a tourist in my new home. Faux-fur is really in right now and the streets of Oxford are filled with stylish faux-fur-wearing men and women. I love these pants because they are quilted and so are a lot warmer than they look! The cropped coat was just the right touch to keep the look upscale for cream-tea.

Wild by Cheryl Strayed Book Review

|| Book Review || Wild by Cheryl Strayed

This is a memoir of 22 year old Cheryl Strayed who takes upon a eleven hundred mile solo hike at the point in her life when she thought she had lost everything - her mother dies and her marriage falls apart. Alone, beat in life, she decides to hike the Pacific Crest Trail from California up through Oregon.  The reader goes along with her on this journey. Going through her physical and mental obstacles that she has to over come on this trail.  All in all you get a great description of the trail and feel like you are on this journey with her. Meeting all sorts of characters along the way.  You witness a young broken woman taking upon this challenge and accomplishing something profound. Something that would have an impact on anyone's life that would take upon this journey in life.

Although a good read, it was often times really hard for me to relate to the character.  I had a difficult time understanding many of her decisions, and at time didn't feel sorry for her, but instead questioned her decisions. She was a self-indulgent character. A character that at times was hard to invoke sympathy for.  It is great characters that make books memorable and their struggle becomes a part of them. That was really lacking in this book, thus it makes it hard for me to rate this book too high. But I would say it is still worth a read and it is a quick, easy read to get through.

A Casual Night Out Outfit

Chambray shirt: Forever 21 // similar Here
Chevron shirt: Forever 21
Pants: H&M // similar Here
Shoes: Topshop // similar here // here // & here

I wore this outfit when I went to my college's famous Emily Carr Party. It allowed me to dance however I wanted and yet not worry about what I'm wearing. The shoes are so comfortable that I was on my feet for the whole night! I have also worn this look for dinner, so I feel like its very versatile.
