We often spend lots of time complaining and whining - I sure am guilty of that. But as I become more and more aware how my self talk has an effect on my overall health I have made a conscious decision to take time out to reflect on what I am grateful for. Now, since I want to be more transparent on this blog, I shall share with you that I am not doing this everyday. Because when I have to do something everyday like this, I start to dread it, therefore I do it when I feel like it!
What moment this week am I grateful for?
A simple lunch date at a newly discovered cafe with my sister
What story are you grateful for?
my own story and journey, for the stories of the souls that walked before me, and for the stories that are yet to come
What abilities are you grateful for?
I'm grateful for being able bodied, having lived with a person with a disability my entire is really eye opening
What memory are you grateful for?
the memory of my childhood spent with my grandparents, the yellow sun and the green grass, the endless bike rides and adventures
What technology are you grateful for?
facetime/skype - it plays a huge role in our family, whether it was my year away or when my sister went away. It allows us to be available to one another and stay connected.
What aspects of your work environment are you thankful for?
because I run my own business, I am grateful for using my creativity, I'm grateful for being able to work whenever I want and where ever I want. And most importantly I'm grateful that I am in this business partnership with my sister!
What challenge are you grateful for?
the challenge of hiking Joeffre lake up to middle lake - which seemed impossible for me, especially after my back injury. But I did it!
Give these questions a try yourself - we would love to read any of your answers!

I'm also super grateful for video calls! Really need technology like that to stay connected with friends and loved ones that I can't be with in person.

I love this post. You're so right, we are preoccupied by everything that goes wrong in our lives. I really have to remind myself to focus on the positives in my life. I'm thankful for my family, friends, my job, my home, my car...so much. xoxo

Awesome post. Sometimes it's hard to remind ourselves to be grateful, so it's good to be reminded every so often. I'm grateful for my friends and family and all the experiences I've shared with them. :]

I love this! I've also realized that being in a negative space can affect my health and I try to practice mindfulness. I think this would be a great exercise to incorporate into my routine every so often. Thanks for sharing this, I'll make sure to share it with others. :D

This is lovely! It's so important to take a step back and appreciate what's around you. I'm grateful for the relationship I have with my Mum and for my health. I love anything fitness, so to have that as a hobby is the best : )
