My 10 favourite music Albums of 2016

It was a great year for music from Frank Ocean to Solange to Beyonce. It was also an eventful year for music; Kid Cuddi opened up about his depression, Beyoncé dropped an important visual album, Kanye had a meltdown, Bob Dylan was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature, and we lost greats like Leonard Cohen, Prince and David Bowie, to name a few.

But it always is tough to compile a list, but after much debating here are my 10 favourite music albums of 2016 (as in I listened the crap out of these):

1. Shura, Nothing's Real
2. Låpsley, Long Way Home
3. Kevin Abstract, American Boyfriend
4. Kanye West, The Life of Pablo
5. Michael Kiwanuka, Love and Hate
6. Leon Bridges, Coming Home
7. Daughter, Not to Disappear
8. Sam Roberts Band, TerraForm
9. Leonard Cohen, You Want it Darker
10. Kaytranada, 99.9%

PS. I'm totally excited to have tickets to U2's The Joshua Tree Anniversary show, with Mumford & Sons as their openers! I actually felt like someone stole that idea from my I wish this dream would come true but it's basically impossible list! 2017 will be full of more exciting albums, concerts and music, so much to look forward to!

  5. The recent shift from traditional media to more direct media (social media) will result in PR firms specializing in or launching divisions devoted to blogs, social networking sites, mobile media and podcasts.
